Flag Visual Response: Frost Middle School Site Visit

I visited Frost Middle School for site visit and observed two art classes, Art Foundation and Computers in Art. In Art Foundation class, the clay project was processed for cup making. During the beginning of the class, Ms. Judy showed clay demonstration and explained about clay techniques, coiling, modeling, slab and incise. In Art Foundation, most students were using wood modeling tools and slab rollers.

In Computers in Art class, students were building their own restaurant by hardboard paper, hot glue, paint and artificial moss. Some students were making a restaurant menu by school's laptop. I was impressed by the classroom setting where middle school students worked on art projects, engaging with a variety of materials and tools. The students' independent approach to learning is a memorable aspect of this visit.
