Crazy Book

In class, I made a "Crazy Book" using papers and ribbon. I will share you through how to make the crazy book step by step.
Supplies:
Two pieces of 3 x 2.5 inches hardboard
One sheet of 9 x 5 inches patterned paper
One sheet of 11 x 8.5 color paper
Ribbon string (22 inches)
Glue stick
Scissor
Bone folder (optional)
Cutting mat (optional)
*I used “UHU Stic Glue Stick” due to strong adhesion. Regular glue stick is great if you are accessible.
Method
1. Firstly, I will make the inside content. I folded the one sheet of 11 x 8.5 color paper into 18 equal sections. I folded it into four equal parts horizontally and four equal parts vertically.
*It is convenient to use a bone folder when folding the paper.
2. I cut some part according to the folding line by scissor. Refer to the photo below and cut the paper along the red lines. Once cut, fold the sections back and forth in sequence, starting from the end. This creates a structure suitable for the inside of the book.
3. Then, I am going to make the book cover. Cut the patterned paper about 4 x 3.5 inches.
A book consists of a front cover and a back cover, so please prepare two sheets of 4 x 3.5 inches.
4. I will be attaching the patterned papers to the cardboard papers, please refer to the photo. Fold the corners of the paper (the back side of the patterned paper) into triangles, and then fold along each of the four sides. Use glue to attach it to the cardboard paper, following the folding shape.
5. Attach the ribbon to the middle of the book's cover paper. Once the book is finished, it will serve as a tie to keep the book closed.
6. Glue the last page of the inside paper to the book cover. The side decorated with the patterned paper will serve as the book's outer cover.
Content of my crazy book
I have completed my "Crazy Book." Inside, I included a drawing that introduces myself. I am currently studying art education. I illustrated items that reflect my current identity, as well as an outfit I am particularly fond of, the outfit is designed so that it can be put on or taken off. What thoughts go through my mind when I am wearing the outfit versus when I am not? I am currently a student, and I hope to become a teacher in the future—specifically, a teacher who studies how to make their lessons truly helpful to students.
